St. Mary of the Woods has been blessed to have TEN young men come forward to enter the ministry of Altar Boy. The first investiture ceremony took place on Sunday, July 2, with five being invested.  The second investiture was Sunday July 17th with four More receiving their crosses.

Voted by his peers as server of the Year for 2011 is Xavier Winner.

Already performing the duties of a head server, Xavier has been elevator to the position of Head Server at the 5 o’clock Mass.  When not serving Mass, Xavier is also an Usher.   Xavier has unparalleled reliability.  He makes himself available at all times. Every weekend he can be found in the sacristy making sure there are enough servers, filling when needed, coaching younger servers, and often times

leading the servers in prayer before Mass.  Xavier won the vote by a wide margin, a much deserved honor.
