MariAn Pilgrimage 2021
Join us for a Marian Pilgrimage this October!
An idea was raised in the Marian Consecration classes this past month about organizing a pilgrimage to a few particularly unique shrines to Our Lady located in Wisconsin. We will be visiting the National Shrine of Our Lady, Help of Christians at Holy Hill (near Milwaukee), and the only Marian apparition site in the United States to have received Church approval to date--Our Lady of Good Help (near Green Bay). All are welcome!
The tentative schedule is as follows:
Thursday, October 7: depart at 1:00 PM. Stop at the Shrine of Christ's Passion in St. John, IN. This shrine has very moving, almost life-sized outdoor Stations of the Cross. Overnight in Milwaukee.
Friday, October 8: The National Shrine of Our Lady Help of Christians at Holy Hill. We will attend Mass, and have some time to explore before heading to Green Bay. Overnight in Green Bay.
Saturday, October 9: The National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. We will attend Mass on the anniversary of the apparition, as well as take a shift in an all-night prayer vigil (Friday to Saturday) commemorating the 150th anniversary of the shrine's miraculous preservation from the most devastating fire in US history.
We will return late in the evening on October 9.
At this point, we have several extra hotel rooms in our block, but no available spots on the bus. If you would like to come along, and are willing to drive yourself and/or carpool, you are very welcome! The extra hotel rooms will be first come, first served.
Please contact Ashley Roberts at the parish office by July 1 if you are interested!
